The competition closes at 6pm on Friday 15th February 2008, and the winner and runners-up will be announced on this web site within 14 days of the closing date.

The organiser of the Winter Snaps competition is Future Publishing Ltd. The organisers, employees of Future Publishing Ltd or its group companies, and any of the official partners, sponsors, or associates of Future relating to the Competition and their families are not eligible to enter this competition.

The competition is open to anyone of UK nationality who is over 18 years of age. A maximum of five entries are permitted. Your photos should not exceed the maximum size of 2MB, in JPEG format.

There is no entry fee associated with the Winter Snaps competition. All entrants agree to participate in any publicity in connection with this competition.

By submitting a photograph to the competition, all entrants agree to:

• Their photograph being voted for by registered members of http://www.windowsvistamagazine.com
• Photographs being displayed and published, along with the entrant’s name, the title of the submission and the number of votes each photograph has received on the competition web site.

The organisers reserve the right to change or add to the prizes and substitute with a comparable alternative due to unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be posted on the competition web site. Prizes are non transferable and no cash equivalent will be offered. If the quality of entry falls below the required standard, the organisers reserve the right not to award a prize/prizes.

At the point of notification of winning entries, the winners must supply full postal address information for the purpose of sending out the prizes. Once address details have been supplied, winners should allow 28 days for receipt of their prizes.

The entrant must be the sole author and owner of copyright, intellectual property, and all other proprietary rights in all pictures entered. It is the legal responsibility of the entrant, and not the organisers, to ensure they comply with these ownership and copyright requirements and own the rights to reproduce their images. Entries that do not fulfil these criteria will be deemed ineligible and disqualified.

The organisers do not make any claim on the copyright of your images. The photographer will retain copyright and where an image or images are reproduced, the photographer will be credited.

The organisers reserve the worldwide royalty free right and licence for the full period of copyright to reproduce the prize-winning images on, or in relation to, Winter Snaps merchandise.

Images are uploaded at the photographer’s risk and the organisers regret they cannot accept any liability for the unauthorised duplication or use of images submitted to the web site.
